Some universities prepared weeks before the shut-down a plan for communication for professors and students, making it easy to teach at those universities.
On a specific university, there was no response plan before the shut-down. The challenge at hand was so posed to happen two days after the lockdown in Austria in March 2020. In this particular case, I tried to contact all my students per mail, without any support of the university. I did everything on my own.
Just now, I give lectures in a hybrid modus. Some courses are in person, and some are taught remotely.
